English Does somebody know the bulgarian laws that regulate copyrights for bulgarian stamps? I want to publish some pictures from bulgarian stamps in the german wikipedia, but they are very stron with copyright violations. For instance in the russian artikel for post stamps there is a stamp of Maxim Gorki. This picture has a link regarding the russian copyright law for stamps. I would need something similiar for bulgarian stamps.

• I am not a copyrights specialist but will try to answer this. AFAIK the copyright status of post stamps is similar to the status of banknotes - they cannot be reproduced without permission. For stamps the permission have to be obtained from Bulgarian Posts (for notes - from Bulgarian National Bank). I've investigated this specifically with regard to publishing information about bulgarian banknotes in Wikipedia and failed - even if one obtains a permission, it would limit him/her to publishing the copies only on single web-site without the right to propagate the content further. Therefore it is not compatible with GFDL (or other free licenses accepted by WP). -- Златко ± ^{(беседа)} 10:07, 11 ноември 2006 (UTC)
